Case manufacturers didn’t take long to realize that people who buy a jet black iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus don’t want the color or finish to go to waste. Several have gorgeous jet black cases that complement and extend your unique iPhone 7 color. Check these five out if you want to preserve your new jet black iPhone while also protecting it.
1. Spigen Slim Armor – Jet Black
I’ve long been a fan of Spigen cases and the iPhone 7 lineup doesn’t disappoint, especially due to the sheer number of jet black options. The Slim Armor is a great pick for those who enjoy striking balance between protection and good looks without adding bulk. The inner lining is flexible TPU for shock absorption while the outer shell is a mix of shiny black and transparent polycarbonate. The back also features a kickstand. It’s a stellar case that blends in superbly with your jet black iPhone 7.
2. Caseology Titan – Jet Black
Caseology is another favorite brand of mine and the iPhone 7 lineup is already strong. One notable option is the Titan series cases which come in a jet black color. Its design is similar to that of the Spigen Slim Armor with flexible TPU inside and a polycarbonate shell wrapping around most of the outside. It’s a bit more refined though and like the Slim Armor, has a cut-out to show off your Apple logo. The Caseology Titan is affordable at only $15.99 for iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus. A few other colors are available too.
3. Spigen Thin Fit – Jet Black
The Spigen Thin Fit is for those who want the absolute bare minimum protection for your iPhone 7. Don’t expect this to protect against major drops. It’s basically just a hard plastic shell that wraps around the phone and should provide some scratch protection for the the back. The jet black color pairs perfectly with the jet black iPhone though.
4. Caseology Skyfall – Jet Black
Okay, the Caseology Skyfall is a bit of a cheat. Only the frame and parts of the back are actually jet black and the rest is crystal clear. Still, the color is officially jet black and the crystal clear lets your jet black iPhone shine through so it gets a pass. Once again, the case uses TPU and polycarbonate — in fairness, those are very reliable materials for cases. The design is lightweight and minimal, though does offer more protection than the Thin Fit thanks to its extra thickness and raised bezel. It seems to do the jet black iPhone justice. The Skyfall is available for $15.99 for iPhone 7 Plus and $17.99 for iPhone 7. It comes in five other colors.
5. Maxboost HyperPro – Translucent Jet Black
Maxboost HyperPro is a great lightweight option that encompasses the iPhone 7 in jet black polycarbonate while also adding “impact gel” inside for shock absorption. It’s also slightly translucent though I suppose that doesn’t make a difference since it’s black on black. I enjoy the minimalist design here similar to the Caseology Skyfall.
